October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Hygeia™, a new feminine hygiene disposal unit / service for commercial restrooms from Citron Hygiene, is raising awareness and funds for women’s cancer research and turning a subject that is rarely discussed, feminine hygiene, into a topic of conversation.
The safe, stylish and socially responsible Hygeia™ provides a pleasant, convenient and discrete method for disposing of feminine articles. Not your typical “wall box,” the Hygeia™ has an innovative cylindrical shape and is turning heads with its designer wraps that enhance the décor of a commercial restroom.
Citron Hygiene also offers a “Charity Wrap” which features the familiar pink ribbon and says “This facility supports the fight to end women’s cancers.” Through the Citron Hygiene Cares Foundation for Women, fifty percent of Charity Wrap sales are donated to the American Cancer Society for women’s cancer research. For the month of October that financial contribution is being increased to 100%.
“We saw the Charity Wrap as a unique opportunity because we provide a very specific product for women and this is a very specific women’s cause. The response from customers has been extremely positive as the messaging on the Charity Wrap also communicates their support for the program,”said Peter Farrell, President of Citron Hygiene.
Several thousand Hygeia™ units are in service in commercial offices, malls, sporting venues, restaurants and retail facilities across the country.
