Frequently Asked Questions
The improper disposal of infant care items, like diaper and wipes, should be disposed of safely and hygienically. Not providing a dedicated infant care disposal unit leaves restroom users to find alternative means of disposal which can negatively impact your facility as well as future users.
Common forms of alternative disposal include flushing items down the toilet or disposing of soiled items in open-face garbage cans in common areas. With 2/3 of plumbing blockages caused by sanitary products, it’s important to provide a better disposal alternative than the toilet.
Leaving users to dispose of their infant care products in an open-face garbage can is not an effective way of containing biological waste and the odors it emits. Having a dedicated disposal unit will help prevent cross-contamination and prevent malodours from spreading throughout the restroom.
All Citron Hygiene Infant Care Disposal units are hands-free to eliminate user contact with any biological waste. Units are equipped with a foot pedal that opens the unit lid when stepped on.
Each restroom hygiene service is performed by a Citron Certified Technician. At each service:
- Waste is removed and the liner bag, blister pack, and ActiWipe is replaced
- The outside of the unit is cleaned and disinfected
- The unit is tested for functionality
- Waste is removed by a technician and diverted off-sight
Our Infant Care Disposal is a service and units cannot be purchased and serviced in-house.
